i think that if left untreated any mental illness can be terminal. the reason that i feel that way is because when people commit suicide it is because they had a mental illness that they could no longer take and didn't know any other way to make the pain stop and they are either unmedicated or on the wrong meds and didn't go get it changed. so yes in that instance i think that it can be terminal if you allow it to be. just my thoughts

I dont think so, however there are probably illness which are associated with the brain which are terminal, and some of the side effects may be mental illness...

I haven't heard of a mental illness that was terminal. There are neurological illnesses that are terminal that also affect the mind - rabies being just one.
