Prophesy is foreseeing what will happen in the future. It is not however a thing that will definitely happen 100%. Foretelling one's future is seen and based at the time when the condition of the present phenomenon is happening. Scientists and Prophets have the same thing in common. Meteorologist will predict the coming storm basing on what they see in the present formation of the clouds, the wind direction and massive condensation on an area. Some windshift or atmospheric changes will also change the predicted course of the storm and at times the storm will not even happen.
That is the same thing as prophesy. From the stars in the sky, from the voices they hear or from what is presently happening around them, they can predict what may happen to a particular place, kingdom or man. For some reason, there are some activities that affect the course of fate and chances of fulfilling the prophesy could be rendered changed or incomplete or unaccomplished. In the case of Jesus, he was only seen by the prophets who will be slain by the sword and what happened is that he was also punished by the rods and floggings by his own people. Read 2Samuel 7:13-14. There are things Jesus did that may have angered the Jews and normally the anger of God is expressed by His people. Following the sayings "Vox Populi Vox Dei".

You ask:
>How many prophecies does a person have to fulfill before
>they can be considered the messiah?
Answer: all of them
You go on to say:
>There were over 300 Old Testament prophecies about
>Messiah that were fulfilled by the life of Jesus Christ
No, there weren't. First of all, there aren't "over 300" messianic prophecies to begin with. Second, I've seen that list and most of the things on it weren't actual prophecies ("rode into Jerusalem on a donkey" comes to mind), and the ones that ARE prophecies aren't about Jesus (the ones about Hezekiah and Israel come to mind).
It seems plain to me that the writers of the New Testament, keenly aware that Jesus failed to fulfill a SINGLE messianic prophecy, searched through the Tanakh for ANYTHING that might have applied to Jesus. They knew they weren't writing the new scriptures for the Jews, who, knowing their own scriptures, had rejected Jesus' followers' claims that he was the messiah. They were writing this new scripture for others, who wouldn't know any better.
>Of these 360+ prophecies, there are 109 that only
>Jesus (Yeshua) could have fulfilled.
Unfortunately, Jesus failed to fulfill a single prophecy considered "messianic" by the Jews. First of all, we have to know what the "Jewish prophecies" are in regards to "messianic prophecies"
These are:
1. Descendant of David - (Jeremiah 23:5) (there are more regarding this one), note, must also be a descendant of Solomon (1 Chronicles 22:9), but can not be a descendant of Jeconiah (Jeremiah 22:30 This is established only through the biological father (for line/tribe) Numbers 36 (Tribal lineage), Genesis 49:10, 1 Kings, 11:4, 1 Chronicles 17:11-19 (Kingship lineage), Exodus 28:4, 29:9-30, 30:30, and 40:15 (Priesthood lineage)
2. Preceded by Elijah - Malachi 3:23-24
3. World Peace - Isaiah 2:4, Exekiel 39:9
4. Universal Knowledge of G-d - Isaiah 11:9, Jeremiah 31:33, Zechariah 8:23, 14:9, 14:16
5. Building of the Third Temple - Ezekiel 37:26-28 (See also Ezekiel 40-48, Isaiah 33:20)
6. Death Will Cease - Isaiah 25:8
7. Resurrection of the Dead - Isaiah 26:19, Daniel 12:2, Ezekiel 37:12-13
8. Ingathering of Israel - Isaiah 43:5-6 (See also Jeremiah 19:15, 23:3, Isaiah 11:12, Zechariah 10:6, Ezekiel 37:21-22)
9. The Nations Will Help the Jews Materially - Isaiah 60:5, 60:10-12, 61:6
10. Eternal Joy and Gladness Will Characterize the jewihs Nation - Isaiah 51:11
11. The Jews Will Be Sought For Spiritual Guidance - Zechariah 8:23
12. All Weapons Of War Will Be Destroyed - Ezekiel 39:9
13. The Enemy Dead Will Be Buried - Ezekiel 39:12
14. The Egyptian River Will Run Dry - Isaiah 11:15
15. Trees Will Yield New Fruit Monthly in Israel - Ezekiel 47:12
16. Each Tribe of Israel Will Receive It's Inheritance - Ezekiel 47:13-14
17. All Warfare Will Cease - Isaiah 2:4
Also, we know that the messiah will be an actual king, ruling in Israel, and sitting on the actual throne in Jerusalem. And that there will be no dispute as to whether or not this Jewish male is the messiah or not. (Jeremiah 23:5-6, and Isaiah 42:1-4)
To quote a friend, "When we carefully consider that none of this has occurred, we can be assured that although many thousands of individuals have claimed to be the messiah throughout the centuries, Jesus included, none of them is. Moreover, when we ponder whether Jesus is the messiah, it is obvious that the very opposite occurred immediately after the Christian movement began; that is; During the first century the Romans slaughtered many thousands of Jews, the Jewish people were exiled from their land, the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, the knowledge of Torah and its observance decreaed throughout the Roman Empire. Clearly, there is no relationship between what the Hebrew Scriptures say about the messiah and what Christianity teaches about Jesus."
To sum this all up, Jesus didn't do the job, (nor was he qualified for the job in the first place), he wasn't the one.
As for your "Yeshua" moniker, that's a whole other ball of wax!

Many of the prophecies in the Old Testament are applicable to many characters of the ancient world (most notably, however, Jesus son of Joseph). And it is believed by many, that Jesus did things in his life just to fulfill these prophecies. It is said in the Gospel of Judas, that Jesus asked Judas to turn him in to the Romans, to fulfill the prediction of the Messiah's death.
In addition, we have no way of knowing whether or not he was truly descended from the House of David, or the tribe of Judah. Yes it is written in the New Testament, but that can not be taken as 100% accurate.
The most important unfulfilled prophecy, is that when Jesus was crucified, the world was supposed to have enduring peace and harmony, between man, and even animals. As history has shown us, this did not occur with his death.

as said there...
the jewish messiah must fulfill *EVERY SINGLE* prophecy. or they aren't it.
you are incorrect about your assertion that the jewish messiah having to die. this is simply untrue. the jewish messiah is NOT a sacrifice, is NOT divine(or more accurately, no more divine than you or I) and does not die in the middle of completing his job.
the fact is there are several HUGE and massively critical prophecys that he did not fulfill, such as world peace and the reconstruction of the temple.
edit: yeah, as mentioned, what the actual prophecys are, and what various verses mean, are entirely different. the fact that I can look at the daily paper and see what we do, proves the messiah hasn't come yet.

There are not 365 "messianic prophecies" to BE fulfilled, and the few actual ones were not.

3. THE MESSIAH WILL BRING WORLD PEACE AND ALL WARFARE WILL CEASE.
Isaiah 11:6 - "And wolf shall live with a lamb, and a leopard shall lie with a kid; and a calf and a lion cub and a fatling shall lie together, and a small child shall lead them."
Micah 4:3 - "And he shall judge between many peoples and reprove mighty nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation; neither shall they learn war anymore."
4. ALL WEAPONS WILL BE DESTROYED.
Ezekiel 39:9 - "The inhabitants of the cities of Israel will go forth and make fires and heat up with the weapons, the bucklers, and the encompassing shields, the bows and the arrows and the handstaves and the spears, and they shall burn them as fires for seven years."
5. THE TEMPLE WILL BE REBUILT.
Ezekiel 37:36 - "And I will form a covenant of peace for them, an everlasting covenant shall be with them; and I will establish them and I will multiply them, and I will place My Sanctuary in their midst forever."
Micah 4:1 - "And it shall be at the end of days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be firmly established at the top of the mountains, and it shall be raised upon the hills, and peoples shall stream upon it."
6. HE WILL CURE ALL THE SICKLY AND DISABLED.
Isaiah 35:5 - "Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then the lame shall skip like a hart, and the tongue of the mute shall sing, for water has broken out in the desert and streams in the plain."

9. ETERNAL JOY AND GLADNESS WILL CHARACTERIZE THE JEWISH NATION.

10. TREES IN ISRAEL WILL YIELD FRUIT EVERY MONTH.

11. DEATH WILL CEASE.
Isaiah 25:8 - "He has concealed death forever, and the Lord God shall wipe the tears off every face, and the shame of his people he shall remove from upon the earth, for the Lord has spoken."
12. THE DEAD WILL BE RESURRECTED.
Isaiah 26:19 - "May Your dead live, 'My corpses shall rise; awaken and sing, you who dwell in the dust, for a dew of lights is your dew, and to the earth You shall cast the slackers."
Ezekiel 37:13 - "Therefore, prophecy and say unto them, So says the Lord God: Lo! I open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves as My people, and bring you home to the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves and lead you up out of your graves as My people. And I will put My spirit into you, and you shall live, and I will set you on your land, and you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and have performed it, says the Lord."
13. THE MESSIAH WILL NOT FAIL. HE WILL DO IT THE FIRST TIME AROUND.
Isaiah 42:4 - "Neither shall he weaken, nor shall he be broken."
