For 2007, the first district conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses do not begin until May, in the United States.

It seems that the questioner refers to an "assembly" of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not pretend that either of the terms ("assembly" or "convention") is theologically significant, but they do use each of the terms consistently, reserving "convention" to describe the larger events lasting three or four days, during which new publications are typically released.

No I am not going this weekend, but I did get to go earlier. The facility is amazing. A brother recorded the building of it, and so we got to see what it looks like on DVD (I miss new things being on VHS) but the Assembly Hall is sooooo much more wonderful in person. If you want you may drop me a line and I can let you know when my next convention is scheduled. Though as it is we attend kinda sporadicly as we are taking care of my dying dad. Hope you have fun.
