The V10 Viper engine would be the most powerful. If you have a 1/2 ton you would have to upgrade the front suspension to 3/4 ton standards. As with all conversions of computerized engines the swap wouldn't be cheap or easy. You could probably find a 3/4 ton with the V10 cheaper.

dodge Ram 1500......It had the vast 5.9L 360ci engine for an prolonged time, as well the straightforward shown reality that it became a obviously aspirated gasoline engine. Now the Cummin's speedy Diesel in stay far off from Rams 2500/3500 is yet another tale. That engine is in undesirable health!!!!

You can get an older Turbo Cummins diesel so you don't have to follow your emission regulations of the newer diesel engines. Since you didn't say what kind of power you wanted....Diesels by far have the most power....They offer twice the amount of torque at half the RPM's of gasolines. The Cummins will give you enough power to run over those Stroker Ford's and Honda weed eaters on the street.

Dodgedakotas.com has many a posts about different engine modifications and whatnot. I think the most popular for power is taking the big 360 ci/ 5.9L block and stroking it to a 408ci.

It all depends on how much $$$$$ you got, the more you have the bigger the engine you can throw in.
