Nowhere does Scripture explicitly state that animals do not have souls...There is nothing in Scripture I know of that would preclude the possibility of animals' continued existence...The Bible does give us some reason to hope that departed animals will be restored. We read in the Bible that redemption is a cosmic matter. The whole creation is destined to be redeemed through the work of Christ (Romans 8:21), and we see the images of what heaven will be like; beautiful passages of Scripture tell us about the lion and lamb and other animals being at peace with one another.(Isaiah 11:6-8). Whenever heaven is described, though it may be in highly imaginative language, it is a place where animals seem to be present. Whether these are animals newly created for the new heavens and the new earth, or they are the redeemed souls of our pets that have perished, we can't know for sure.

The Catholic Church has no defined doctrine regarding the souls of animals. However, Thomas Aquinas taught all life was a soul, but only humans had an immortal soul. However, the Church has never said Thomas Aquinas was infallible. A priest once said Thomas Aquinas must not have ever had a dog or pet of any kind.
The Bible is salvation history. It deals with mans fall from grace and mans redemption. There was no need for it to deal with the souls of animals.
I have had lots of cats. Now I have 3 cats and a little 15 year old Peke who is very bossy and I hope to see all in Heaven.

Animals just like man are souls, we don't have souls, Genesis 2:7, Ezekiel 18:4, Ecclesiastes 3:18-21.

the soul is the vacuum in a person where Jesus desires to dwell. He comes in when we ask him and repent of sin and as John 3 says are born again.

animals do go to heaven, every good thing is there, and Jesus is on a horse so animals are there=Revelation chapters 19-22 also the agony of hell for rejecting him is described too.

Every living thing has a soul of some kind. At what stage that soul is in it's evolution and whether or not humans can re-incarnate into animals or vice-versa, well there are too many theories there.

Well, a book by Billy Graham that says that they don't, but I never agreed with that. Recently, I heard some televangelist lady say that they do, because for one, there are animals being mentioned in the book of Revelation... for instance, Jesus will come riding out of heaven on a white horse.
Aside from this, I know animals have souls, because I know for a fact that my kitty who died has a soul and is in heaven with God right now. The reason why I know this, is that after she died, she came to say goodbye to me. I couldn't see her, but I could hear her and feel her jump onto my bed. I know she went to heaven after that... because I could sense it and because she never came back. God gave me lots and lots of comforting in those days afterward, because He knew how much I loved her.

I definitely think that they do, just not the same kinds of souls that humans have. For example, I believe that while humans have to learn lessons to grow spiritually, animals don't. They're just here on Earth for the benefit of humans. But animals are purely love, aren't they?! Always kind and sweet. Love is all that they need to be happy!

ANIMAL DO NOT HAVE SOULS.SOULS BELONG ONLY TO HUMANS.BUT ANIMALS HAVE LIFE AND TO HURT THEm,HUNT THEM,KILL THEM,EAT THEM IS A SIN. BECAUSE LIFE IS LIGHT AND LIGHT IS GOD.ANIMALS INSIDE HUMANS AFTER THEIR DEATH ARE SEPERATED FROM THEM IN THE PURGATORY AND ARE BORN AS VISIBLE-TANGIBLE ANIMALS SO HUMAN CAN SEE HOW THEY LOOK AND LEARN ABOUT THE CREATURES HE CARRIES WITHIN HIMSELF DURING EACH NEW LIFE. AND HELP THEM TO REACH HUMAN STAGE. YOUR SOUL IS NOT YOUR SELF.SOUL IS THE ORIGINAL HUMAN FORM INSIDE YOU OF WHICH YOUR BODY IS AN EXACT COPY IN BLOOD AND FLESH.ALL SOULS ALWAYS LOOK LIKE SOME HUMAN BEING THAT IS WHY THEY CAN NOT FUNCTION THROUGH ANIMAL BODIES.gfr.

Can they feel pain? What makes us any better than an animal? We are the only species that kill there own kind and i think people shouldn't eat meat, not because religion, not only because its disgusting but because your hurting another living thing and you have no right to do that. It is barbaric and uncivilized! What about man's instinct to eat meat like cavemen did? Do we still take craps on the floor? Vegetarians the way to go.
