Of course it is different. If he reveals something to you, you have free will whether to accept it, follow it, or teach it. If you make stuff up as you go along, it is still free will, but with no option to act according to what god has revealed to you.

Good question, it's called "faith". Or perhaps "inspiration" or "imagination" which technically is a "gift". It's like Thomas Paine saying "That which teaches man to be good, is good." I don't know if God revealed that to him, or he found it in the bottom of a tankard of rum. Likewise Robert Burns opined "Tis deeds not birth, that makes men low." Easy to say they composed it as they went along, but who can say if it was Divine inspiration or not?

Yes it is,only you had better be sure it is God. One sure way to know if whether or not what you are being told lines up with scripture.
Remember, we do not interpret scripture in order to change it, however, scripture is supposed to interpret how we live in order that the power God has given His word can change us.
The bible says that the devil comes into the world disguised as an angel of light, so be very careful.

It depends how confident you are. If you mean if you think god talks to you or something than your either a psycho or it could be real who knows. All that matters is what you believe and how strongly you believe it...

way different. God can totally make things crystal clear as to what you need to do in your life. Whether it be a life-changing thing or just something really small.

most defineltly. The bible is God's revelation to the mankind. When you don't read and understand this book, you are making it up as you go...and that can lead only to ultimate dispair.
