prehaps you could get someone to cut off your leg and beat you with the bloody end. My answer is as lame (excuse me I couldn't help myself) as your question
p.s. are you pulling our leg? Sorry once again I couldn't help myself
p.s. again, make sure you only cut off one leg otherwise you won't have a leg to stand on.

If you are trying for social security benefits, this is not a good idea. Suprisingly, depending on your education and prior work experience, that may not even qualify you for disability. For example, if you are an accountant who sits at a desk all day, and would be able to do the exact same job in a wheel chair, with only one leg, then you are not disabled under the SS definition. However, if you are minimally educated and have only done manual labor, then you might have a better chance of qualifying for disability--although it is not a certainty.
The application process can be quite long. You apply, and then if you get denied, you can request a hearing. At the hearing, the administrative law judge will run through a five-step analysis to determine whether you are disabled. If you qualify under a "Listing" then you are presumed disabled, if not then the ALJ will determine whether you can do your past work, and if not then he will decide whether you can perform any job. (this is the most cursory explaination possible -- see 20 CFR 404.1520 for details)
The bottom line is that if you really are trying to get Social Secuirty Disability, cutting off your leg is NOT the way to go.

That is about the dumbest question I have ever heard!!! If you are so lazy that you are willing to do something as stupid and dumb as cutting off your leg to keep from it and you think you would like living the rest of your life without a leg then go ahead. You better think about this real hard because after you do it there is no going back!!! I personally think you are about the LAZIEST AND DUMBEST person I have ever heard of. I think you need professional help.

Go to the social security office and tell them you're thinking about cutting off your leg. They'll give you a check for being stupid. Good Luck......Jackass. That's more money coming out of the checks of people who work for a living. Thanks
