let's say i made like 3-4 thousand in those 2 months. and i have to leave the country the rest of the year or start a new life in another country, would i have to come back and file those taxes?

If you make above the minimum requirement for your filing status, then you have to file a tax return. For single person is $8000s.

Although you may not be required to file next year, filing could probably give you some money back.

No, not if that was your only income, unless it was from self-employment in which case the limit to have to file is $400.

If you are a US citizen and made any income in the place you moved to, then that would be taxable on your US return, and would be included when determining whether you were over the limit to have to file.

taxes would be taken from your paycheck...

but you probably would get most if not all of the with holdings back..... so you wouldn't have to pay taxes.. but you do have to "file a tax return."

You would probably be getting a refund, so if you don't file then Uncle Sam gets to keep your money - so it's foolish not to file.
