Always try to ask question in simple way so people can answer you in the best way.

From your question what I understand is you wanted to print a text which you have highlighted and when you print it simply print in text so you can not see highlighter portion right?

If I am correct, you should know that when you choose some portion to print that is also known as highlighted portion or painted, but what you should do is give some color to the text you wanted to be highlighted when it print out. You can choose a light Gray color or Yellow.

It depends which software you are using, in HTML you can easily give colors or highlight, in MS.Word/Excel,MS email too. Font Color/Text Color or Highlight color depends on the software you use.

If you are using Microsoft Word... There is a button at the top that Highlights the words... Otherwise you can't... Just print it and use a highlighter to do it...

There's a highlight tool in MS Word, somewhere along the text color tools. Don't use your cursor to just highlight. Select the highlight tool first, then highlight.
