Cite? I suspect, if anything, you're misinterpreting. The sun is roughly halfway through its life - ~4.7 billion years either way.
Just shy of that - in ~4.6 billion years - the sun goes red giant and its circumference engulfs Earth. We're a cinder well before that, so let's keep NASA working.

Of course, these scientists holding this belief would have nothing to do with the field of astronomy, as that isn't an analysis that is at all accepted within astronomy. The idea was briefly reported upon, considered by the scientific community, and rejected, further data was gathered, and it supported no such hypothesis, creation science simply latched on to a passing idea that was part of the scientific method, but didn't observe the method itself. Ask any astronomer and they'll tell you the shrinking sun has been completely debunked. Since 1980, and that the data supports the idea that the sun's size changes cyclically about every 80 years.
In fact, at the time of the initial reports for the shrinking sun, the sun's diameter had apparently increased, with a significant increase between 1969 and 1980...

Assuming that what you say is true (which I can't know based on what you've written here), you would also have to assume that the rate at which the sun loses volume has been constant throughout all that time. Of course, no measurements were taken until recently, so it would be impossible to know that.
So, no, it doesn't prove that the earth isn't billions of years old.

I believe you can make a case that the universe is both
6 to 10 thousand years and also 15 1/2 billion years old.
I know this sound crazy but I've seen it done on Zola Levitt Live with Gerald Schroeder.

Hello, Theo:
There is much more information published by scientists to prove a young earth but to comment on your point:
The Bible says all of God's creation is in decay now, but will be restored to its original Edenic beauty. There will be 7,000 years before everything is accomplished, but let us see what the Bible says about the sun in Isaiah 30:26"
"Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, [the same as its brilliance 7 milleniumss before] as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound."
That is just one more text to prove that God has everything under control. He says He created the Earth to be inhabited:
"For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else" (Isaiah 45:18).
Yes, Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the [new] earth.
More on this in the secret Bible code, sealed "until the end of the days" at:

Ussher said it, not the Bible. He was a brilliant biblical scholar and dedicated his life to tracing Jesus' lineage and their ages to arrive at that date, but he was pretty much wrong.
My sources say that the sun is in hydrostatic equilibrium. Considering they're astronomy references from reputable astrophysicists, I'm inclined to believe them over you.
Considering the evidence left behind, such as layers of rock containing fossils of extinct species, to claim the earth is 6k years old would be to paint your god a deceiver. Why would god plant evidence? Deep Time, whether or not you believe in evolutionary theory or not, makes more sense from the perspective of honesty and ethics.

You're 100% right about you statement.............the sun is burning up, and losing mass. Measurements have been going on for 300 hundred years now. The fact that this is proof of a young Earth will be denied by the atheist in here. BUT IT IS A FACT.

I don't think so, BUT if the sun super-nova's, it will expand greatly and touch the earth befor it shrinks to a white dwarf.

actually the sun isnt shrinking its expanding- the sun will expand until it reaches at least jupiter then it will begin to contract pulling in parts of the universe with it- this is the star/sun going Nova. this takes millions of years to happen. i'm not sure where you got that the sun was contracting but i've heard evidence to the contrary.
