You can download a free simple photo editing program from many places online, just google it. If you want to use paint, Make put a curved white line on each corner, and then erase anything on the other side of the line. You can also download a free 30 day trial of photoshop from adobe.com. You don't have to pay or anything to do it.

GIMP is a free alternative to photoshop. Paint isn't really useful as an editing tool for full size photos. You can download it here:
http://www.gimp.org

It's a little difficult to learn, but it's pretty powerful.

Here's one way to do it in GIMP.
*Open the image in GIMP (File->Open).
*Use the Elipse Selection tool (hit the "E" key on your keyboard as a shortcut for the Elipse Selection too) to select the area of the picture that you want rounded. If want the edge to be soft, check mark the "Feather Edges" box and specify how many pixels wide you want it to be feathered.
*Then you will want to reverse the selection by going to Select->Invert, or Ctrl-i on your keyboard.
*Finally you are going to fill the selection with white. You can do this three ways: 1) Click on the Bucket icon, checkmark "BG color fill" and "Fill whole selection" and click on the outer part of the photo to paint it white. 2) On the image window, go to Edit->Fill with BG Color. 3) Press Ctrl-. on your keyboard (Control key plus period). (This is assuming that you haven't changed your background color from white.)

There you go.
