You are going to use place mats to cover the table linens. This is a superficial layer. Let the beautiful linens show. Under no circumstances use paper place mats. They are more for fish fries or barbecues.

why not do one of two things first get material that is a close match to your colors and sew a hem on the outside of the material once you cut it to a place mat size or go to a party supply store and buy tissue paper the color of the wedding and put them down that way if your guest want to take a souvenir home with them they can have a place mat and if you are going paper table cloths clean up will be a snap with the tissue paper good luck and congratulations

well you could make your own using decorations to the theme of your wedding-look in thrift stores-hobby lobby stores-dollar tree-walmart-discount stores for the decorations.You can get discounted decorations like this.Do you need decorations for the table as well?
