Ok I m developing an electrical oven , I been working on it for a couple of years now I have it ready for production but my problem is How and where can i get it to be UL listed , I live in Texas but do not know where to look for . thank you for your help friends .

You can find the addresses for UL on the internet. One office is in Northbrook, Il.
They can tell you exactly what tests your new oven must pass, what those tests will cost,and what the listing itself will cost.
You will probably have to pay for the tests even if your oven fails. So it's best if you run the tests yourself before submitting prototypes, to be sure it passes.
I believe there is also an annual fee in order to retain your listing. They come around and inspect your factory, and run tests on the oven every year.

Contact Underwriters Lab directly, Inet or 800#. You may also wish to contact "Consumer Reports" about the same way. You may not even be able to market it till they sign off on it.
