If you and four other people were hiding behind a dumpster with your backs to a wall and no way of escaping, and someone found you, dragged the four other people, one by one, out from behind the dumpster and shot them through the head, then looked at you and said, "You're ok". Would you assume that you were spared because of your religious faith?

Would you thank God?

Just curious.

With love in Christ.

I would assume that I was damn lucky. I would thank God. The person would not have spared me because of my faith if he didn't know what it was. Maybe God was protecting me, maybe not. Maybe it was because I was an old white women and the murder was after young people, black people, men, or ran out of bullets, heard the police coming... who knows. But I would thank God, yes I would. Then I would fall apart and cry for the other 4, even if there were total strangers.

I don't know about assuming anything, but I'm sure I would fall on my knees and thank God. You also would have to bring into the equation how one felt about the other 4 people. What if it were loved ones, like a child? Then I might wish I were dead also.

An assembly is a amassing of like-minded those who would or received't understand one yet another for a objective... which incorporates worship, leisure, deliberation, etc. Fellowship is extra about community and friendship. A church amassing has factors of both, yet isn't required for both one. someone may have fellowship with only another individual. there is an assembly of Christians the following on R&S and their fellowship is of their beliefs, inspite of in the adventure that they are diverse from one yet another, and that's honestly no longer a church. an identical will be suggested of alternative communities and beliefs, that's between the excuses all of us come the following. community church homes in elementary words want to do what God has commanded persons... to love Him and one yet another. this relies upon upon each and each human being member and it determines the fellowship interior the assembly, be it sturdy or undesirable. Being human, there'll consistently be those between us who're extra self established and self serving (Pharisees)... be they chief or layman. Love is the reason and objective of our life. It needs to be the hallmark of our church homes. those who have not realized this ought to patiently study. If the church and it really is individuals do no longer adhere to this maximum elementary guiding concept of the religion, then it will be perfect to search for yet another church. We do want to note if our personal motives; if love is guiding our movements as well, no longer selfishness or emotion.

I believe that there is a purpose to all things however random they may seem. God is still in control, whether or not we choose to believe in Him or not. If I were spared in that situation, I would definitely seek God for the purpose of why and then seek to do His will.

Nope. I'd think it was because I wasn't preaching to the guy when he pulled the gun in the first place. Or mumbling to Christ. Noise tends to upset already unstable people, you know?

Probably yes. Anytime something happens in my life (which is frequent) that doesn't seem to agree with the circumstances in the natural world, I tend to think that God is somehow intervening on my behalf.

Good to see you on tonight.

God Bless you also.

Yes. Yet I am proud to say that it does not take such drastic measures for me to thank God and give Him praise. I praise and thank Him in all things. May God Bless U.
