No, but I would be interested in learning more about Sufi's, hadn't come across that in my readings so far ( and there are probably hundreds I haven't come across yet!)
By the way, saying one is christian is just a term... many people believe in their own way- but Allah/God knows what is in your heart- he always has!

The most crucial question is not whether Jesus was the Christ
or the Messiah! The biggest issue separating religion from Christianity is that Christians acknowledge that Christ is God incarnate (God come in human flesh) - He was 100% man and 100% God - a concept that is not understandable apart from the revelation of God through the Holy Spirit.
Religions cannot or will not accept His divinity - and this is the
biggest wall separating non-Christians from Christians. The cults also have this same problem and have created a Christ of their own making that suits their religious beliefs.
To be a true Christian means that the believer must believe in
his heart that Jesus Christ is God! A true Christian cannot mix Christianity with any other belief system including the world system because they all reject His deity and will not worship Him as God.
THE BIBLE IS CLEAR ON THIS VERY THING - WHICH YOU SAY YOU RESEARCHED - "Every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father." The day will come when even the devil will fall on his face and make this proclamation before the entire universe with clenched fists and gnashing teeth I would have to believe as he will hate every syllable that comes from his mouth as he is saying it.
As God Jesus is to be worshipped! Your mind has been open to many things that have muddled your thinking, and it will take washing in the precious blood of Jesus Christ to clear the lies away so you can see clearly! GOD HAS BEEN WATCHING YOU AND WAITING FOR YOU TO BE PREPARED FOR TRUTH THAT CANNOT BE UNDERSTOOD BY MERE FINITE INTELLECT! It takes a supernatural revelation to understand what you are seeking!
No religion or intellectual study no matter how intense can give this to you. God cannot be comprehended by anyone without a direct revelation from Him.
Acts 4:12 - "Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under Heaven given among men wherby we
MUST be saved." If you study this verse in context you will see it clearly refers to Jesus Christ. John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him; I am the way the truth and the life, NO MAN cometh to the Father but by me." Notice that he did not say I am one of many ways - He said he is "the" way. There is no other.
If you want to come to an end of your quest and find eternal peace that will last through the long ages of eternity, you have no option but to bow before Him in humility of spirit, confess your sin and repent of it, receive by faith the gift of salvation offered to all who will receive it, and love and serve the Lord from that time forth and forever.
John 3:36 - "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life,
and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His "Only Begotten Son" that WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON HIM should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:17-19 - "For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world THROUGH HIM might be saved, 18: He that believeth on Him
is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. 19: And this is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

Isalm teaches that Jesus is not the son of God, and that he will bow down to the madhi; now, this is blaphemous, and you cannot say you believe Jesus is the Messiah, and hold onto madhi, the messiah of the muslems; Your playing both sides of the fence, and that equals lukewarm. Are you sincerely wanting to know, or are you trying to lure peole into believing there can be a compromise between islam and christianity? Ya know, true followers of the God of Abraham son of Terah, Genesis 8:4- know their God is the One true God. The thing about false prophesies, is that they will try to use rela facts, slightly twisted, to fit their agenda- like , Islam calims Abraham, but not the son of Terah; a different guy, whose father was Azar - surah 6:74. The two beliefs completed contradict eachother, now why do you suppose that is? Could it be, that one is the word of God, and one is the word of the enemy of God? The Koran teaches the hatred of christians and jews. surah 5;51 9;123 9;29 8;39 9;14 9;30 8;12 ...so you are told to cut off the heads and fingertips of christians and jews. Ya know what, pick your side! Either you worship the one true God, or you worship the enemy of God.

That depends on your definition of 'Christ' or 'Messiah' which are actually the same word in Greek and Hebrew.(So there is no 'both' involved)
The Jewish expectation was that the Messiah would be the 0ne who would redeem the whole world.
The Christian view agrees but believes Jesus was the Messiah (Y'shua HaMaschiach)
Therefore, by very definition, if you believe THAT you have to be a Christian.
The Islamic undewrstanding of the term Isa Maseh is totally different...basically that Jesus was a great anointed teacher.
ANYONE can believe that .... even without faith in any sort of God!

The term Christian was first used for the followers of Christ in Antioch. Being a Christian simply means being a follower of Christ. To believe that Jesus was the Christ and the Messiah is something that even the devils do but the difference between them and Christians is that Christians take that belief to a deeper level by responding to the call for salvation and by entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior by inviting Jesus into their heart and life through the sinner's prayer.
If you were to seriously study the teachings and life of Jesus, as you claim to, then you will discover that Jesus gave us only one of two choices - to accept that He is the Son of God and to follow Him or to reject Him. You cannot believe in Him and at the same time subscribe to another religion. You must make a choice - true enough "no man can serve two masters".
When Jesus said, "Follow me", He was calling on John and Peter to come after Him and be His disciples. To use this call of Jesus and say that He is only calling us to follow Him and not to worship Him is to take the whole thing out of its' proper context. You need to study more about Jesus to get the proper picture of who He is and why He came - When you truly understand the diety of Christ, then you would, like me, bow down before Him in worship.
"Every knee must bend and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!" Seek more after the truth and when you find it, it will set you free.

Well, I think many full fledged "christians" take your stance.
But think again...
Even Satan KNOWS and believes in Jesus, and that He is the Messiah. I'm quite certain because of Revelations 20 and 21, that Satan will not enter the KINGDOM OF GOD, but will be swallowed up in the lake of fire.
If you know Him to be the Messiah, repent of your sin, (turn from) and now let Jesus live thru you by guidance of the Holy Spirit! Study His word! Start with the Gospel of John.
I will pray for you brother!

No.
In fact the label Christian was used long after the faith developed and was used as an insult to those who followed Jesus.
Christian is derived for Christo - a Greek word that does not have the same meaning as Messiah. Look it up sometime to see what I mean.
To be labeled a Christian one must not only believe in Jesus as the Son of God but to also believe that he died to remove the sins of mankind. And grant believers a way to heaven.
Most Christians do not consider Allah and followers of Allah followers of Jesus. They see them as following a false God - with a book of deceit.
But no - no one needs to take a title. A label only tells other's who we are so they can cage us in those beliefs.

Christians believe that Christ is the only way into Heaven. Believing that He died for our sins so we can spend Eternity in Heaven. He is the Way and the Light, no other gods come before Him. This is what Christians believe. If you do not believe this then you are not a Christian. You can be almost any religion and believe that he is the Messiah. But to be a true Christian you must believe that He is the only One True God, Thee Only way to Salvation.
So to answer your question, it is not necessary to be a Christian to believe that Jesus was the Christ and the Messiah. But to be a true Christian means that you are only a Christian and believe that He is the ONLY True God.

If you believe only that Jesus was the Christ and Messiah, then no. Even Satan and the demons believe that Jesus is. If you believe and have faith, repent and follow Jesus, then by your actions, you are. Christian means Christ Like.
Never heard of Mystical Islam, what is it by definition?

If you believe those things, then you are on the first step to becoming a Christian, but you are not necessarily one yet. You see even satan and his demons believe that Christ was the Messiah, but they're certainly not Christians. To become a true Christian you must be born-again, meaning you must repent of your sins and accept for yourself that Jesus is the Messiah not just believe it.
You said you are a Muslim, yet you believe Jesus is the Messiah? How can this be? I thought Islam lowered Jesus to the status of a prophet, and does not believe He is the Messiah.

WillRogerswannabe, if you believe that Jesus is the Christ and the Messiah you need not to be a Christian to do so.If I may, please this is my opinion: I truely believe that there only exsists ONE God,where, when,or how we started our own personal Faith is our own entity our own thing or belief. In spite of however many religions there are my belief is we are ALL worshiping the same God,just in a dfferent manner.
