The Flood account in the Book of Genesis is also corroborated by the world's population statistics. Today, we're taught that humans evolved about 2 million years ago. Then why are there only 6 billion people in the world?
In the year 2000, the world's population topped 6 billion. In 1985, it passed 5 billion. In 1977, it topped 4 billion. In 1962, it passed 3 billion. In 1930, the world's population was approximately 2 billion. In 1800, it was approximately 1 billion.
Based on census DATA, scholars estimate the world's population was about 1/4 billion at the time of Christ (1 AD). The Flood was approximately 4,400 years ago, with 8 human survivors. If we follow the population growth curve, we see that the world's human population could have come from 4 couples 4,400 years ago. It seems the human population growth rate is about 2% per year.
Well, what about all of the wars, famines, plagues, etc? Take the Black Plague for example. It killed off 1/3 of Europe's entire population. Yet, in less than 100 years, the population bounced back and surpassed the original population. This is because the infrastructure was already established. The world's population took a dive during World War II, but immediately came back with the baby boomers. After a great loss, there is always a massive boom.
The bottom line is this: if humans have been around for 1 million years (half of the 2 million presupposed by evolutionists), according to the current growth rate, the world's human population should be 10^8600. That's a 10 with 8,600 zeros after it! Double that if you believe its 2 million years old. 16 million years, some think. Then we need 10^51600 zeros after it!
BEAR in mind: logic dictates the simplest answer is true.

If there was a world wide flood there would be a very obvious signature in the geology. There is no such signature.
Your number is totally baseless. Humans were almost extinct at one point. There were less than 2,000.
Finally, the moon is moving away from the Earth about an inch a year. It is fun how that was first figured out. There are tidal rocks that show the influence of the Moon over millions of years. Geologist that looked at them said that the day used to be shorter and the tides more extreme. This lead them to be able to calculate that the Moon was closer and slowly moving out, with the amount that it moves out accelerating. This has since been checked with direct measurement by bouncing a laser off a mirror that was left during the Apollo missions.
Now you want me to believe that these guys figured out such a thing, but they have no idea how old the rocks that they used to do it are.

I may not be able to refute your claim but I can poke a couple of holes in your logic.
1) The flood tale from the Bible is based on a much earlier Sumerian myth, which in turn was based on an even earlier Akkadian myth, so we can't actually accurately date this event.
2) The earth is, according to scientists and evolutionary theorists, actually approximately 4.4 Billion years old, however the latest theory on the emergence of man puts it at approximately 135-200,000 years ago, not 1 million.
3) The current estimates for world population are around 6,800,000,000, not 7,000,000.
4) Your maths, as clever as it is (I applaud you for investigating this rationally) is flawed as it doesn't account for the massive variations in population growths throughout different societies and cultures, especially those caused by social development (that is more developed societies often reproduce at a level below the world average and vice versa).
I like your thinking... please take this as constructive criticism.

So.... You're saying that populations still grow when the vast majorities of them are dying in plagues and wars?... A couple thousand years ago the vast majority of all children born died before reaching sexual maturity, and many died afterwards before producing more than two offspring... This is a fallacious agument in that it makes silly assumptions that a population size would continue to grow indefinitely, never falling, and that homo erectus, having little more than crude stone tools, would be just as capable as surviving as modern man... Populations reach an equilibrium at which point they don't grow or shrink much....
Though, really, acording to your data, with 2% growth a year, if there were 1/4 billion at the time of christ, then there would be 39,653,683,190,092,818,740,467,729 people alive now.... It seems we're missing a few.

Your population projection argument doesn't make sense. I could use your own logic to argue that there ought to be billions of T-Rex's on earth. Where are all the billions and billions of brontosauruses? They were around before humans. They've had lots of time to multiply their numbers. Where are they?
See how easily your logic falls apart? Did you really think that time is the only determinant of population? Don't you consider limitations like a habitable environment and food supply?
Where do you suppose that 10^8600 humans would find enough room to live or enough food to eat? Your thesis completely ignores the most fundamental limitations of any population.

I am responding to those who believe populations grow linearly, that is not true. Differential equations cover population growths and they use "e" which is a natural logarithmic number. True people die off but without strong external influence the population will exponentially rise. Does this necessarily support the above argument, I am not sure, I would have to crunch numbers and look at it in more detail than anyone else has. But I do know for sure that population growth is an exponential phenomena.

Working backwards from a population of 6 billion in the year 2000 and using your 2% figure, there were 8 people in 968AD and 2 people in 898AD. What about the mountainous regions with clam and other fossils in the mountain tops? Some of these Clams are as big as humans. How did they get there? Did the seas and oceans shift entirely?
Haven't seen anyone mention the Super volcanoes that erupt Evey 600,000 to 800, 000 years. Those account for many things.
