I am looking for books that cover the military campaigns in a much detail as possible. Maybe its impossible to find a whole singlebook on this. I know Osprey Military Campaigns is the best on the subject of wars, but it focuses on just one campaign per book. I'd need more of an overview, but with a military focus. Any titles would be greatly appriciated.

The is a three volume set that does not include all the Civil War campaigns. It is just the main army which was commanded by U S Grant. The set is "The Army of the Potomac". The three volumes are titled, "Mr. Lincoln's Army", "Glory Road" and "A Stillness at Appomattox". It was written by Bruce Catton.

Great reading.
