i've recently just started working out on my treadmill. and i'm not talkin' about 30 min. a day i'm talking about 2 times a day 60 min. each. i've gained a lot mucsle in my legs but it's very painful. now i know that this is lactic acid. i just want to know how to get rid of this acid. and i'd also like to know how to work on my abs and my glutes but please give me easy exercises for i am overweight and not very flexible or that strong yet.

You have to learn not to overexert yourself. Starting off at 60 min twice a day is far too much and that is why you are in pain. It may not necessarily be just lactic acid buildup.

For the abs, cardio will be helping that too. Especially that much cardio! Also crunches. Hold a pushup position for 30 sec. Hold a weight in each hand and reach your arm over your head in an arch. If your left arm is over your head, reach as far right as you can. Also do this one: hold the weight in each hand. Now imagine one weight suddenly weighs twice as much and is pulling to the ground. Lean to the side. You should feel this in both the front and the side of the oblique.

Gluts-do squats and lunges. Not so many that you are hurting your quads and just in case you pulled something wtih all that cardio don't start this until your legs feel better.

Also try the abductor and adductor. Lay down on your side like if you were doing leg lifts. But lift the leg to the front at a 45 degree angle as close to the ground as possible. Then take the leg up and down to the ground a 45 degree angle to the back. Then back up and back to the front 45 degree angle. Don't ever let your foot hit the ground. See if you can do 20 of those. It should burn.

Cardio is the best for burning fat. Try jump roping.
