Lutetia in latin, Lutèce in French.

Then the Parisii people gave their name to Paris.

Paris was named for the Celtic tribe "Parisii" which had settled along the Seine. Before that name was given to the city, it was known by the roman name "Lutetia." The city became Civitas Parisiorum under Emperor Julian.
