Do you know you are going to live with Christ in HIS Kingdom after this life, when you have been born again, by His spirit? Saved by His wonderful grace?
And do you know that it is ONLY by His grace you are saved, and that there is nothing you can do to earn your way to heaven? (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Yes, I do! And ONLY by His wonderful grace. Thanks and praise to Him forever!

Yes, I know all of that.

However, even given that wonderful morcel of truth; I still pose the question:

Do you believe that after your initial encounter with God, a person has the responsibility to "abide by" God's will in order to 'stay saved'?

We are saved by grace. Titus 3:5 -7... but if after we accept Christ as personal Lord and Savior, and if we continue to disobey --- isn't that like slapping God in the face, and taking his grace in vain?

This is precisely the kind of irrational, archaic dogma that doesn't get true no matter how many trillions of times you repeat to yourself or anyone else. Perhaps some psychiatric treatment might help you.

My, my!!
After reading your profound and deeply interesting question, I feel that I must abandon my fifty-plus years of devout atheism and rush to the nearest church ....
Not really.
I really thought that pulpit sermons were not permitted here. This isn't a serious debating issue, it's preaching. Preaching superstition, too.

This is true. Not necessarily will we die. In the book of Revelation it talks about the Rapture where those of us will meet him in the air & go with him to our new home.
