she asked me if i liked anyone earlier this week and i said no and i asked her back and she said no and hasn't really talked to me since until today i asked her if she was upset she said no to me then she had to go

First i think you need to answer the question if you like her as more then a friend or not? The best way to find out is use the trust between you two so you might have to just ask her or one of her close friends that you know would not lie just to hurt her.

It depends on what type of a person she is. Most girls would try and show off to you, without making a fool of herself. If she acts flirty around you, and it seems like she likes you, it wouldn't hurt to ask her out.

there is no way to no other than to just ask her flat-out if she likes you or not. if not then you can just keep your friendship the way it is; if you two are tight then it won't be awkward. if she does like you then good for you! although in my experience guys have always liked their girl best friends and rarely does it go the other way...

she probley wont have told any of her friends or anything unless shes pretty blunt about stuff....so id say you should.....ask HER what you should do about this girl you like but shes your friend and you dont know if she likes you...then if it goes well do whatever it was she told you to do right then....
