Calling Mary by the title, The Blessed Virgin Mary, matches the way she is described in the Holy Bible.

There are many virgins in the world, but there is only one Blessed Virgin Mary.

When did I suggest that Mary is equal to God? Why can't people just answer the question instead of putting words in my mouth?

The Blessed Virgin Mary, what a beautiful title that is and what a great shame that because of hatred for anything Roman Catholic by the Protestant reformers that Protestant people have been robbed of devotion to the Mother of our Savior.
It is also a Gospel fact that Mary was the principle instigator of the Lord`s very first public miracle at the wedding feast at Cana.
Catholics have always seen this as the tangible proof of the power of Mary`s intercession with Christ,Who is God and Man,and if it pleased the Lord to work this miracle because of His Mother why then is it so hard for anyone to realize that Mary is still interceding today for all Her children.
I have known a few(not many) protestants to attend novena`s to Mary and pray the Holy Rosary asking for Her Motherly help in family matters and you know they have not been left ignored by Her.
If Jesus is God and He certainly is and can work miracles on our behalf then how much more will He do so by His Holy Mothers requests on our behalf.

Yes, all generations shall call Mary 'blessed" because of the purpose she served as the Mother of Christ - having been a young girl and a virgin and told that she would bear a child when she had not had sex, In those days - she could have been stoned - especially since she was betrothed to Joseph and he had not touched her. Think of the humiliation she could have suffered - but for the grace of God and the delivery of the truth by the angel to Joseph. she was saved and santified and set aside for such a time as this. So, she is called blessed. But Praise God - she did her part - and the true miracle, the real blessing for all of us is that JESUS WAS BORN!

sadly some bible christians/protestants have missed this text amongst the others that show the veneration, not worship, that is due to jesus' mother, the blessed virgin mary. they accept we are one as in the church with jesus as its head, but if we are all brothers and sisters in christ would the blessed mother not then be our mother?and then would we not be subject to the commandment to honor or father and mother? the early reformers including luther and calvin all held the blessed mother the way the catholic church has always done. it is sad, even if they don't agree with us on the blessed mother i fail to see why they have to drag her blessed name through the mud,she was ever virgin and the only scripture that says otherwise is poorly translated out of context scripture. i feel they stray away from the great example set forth by the blessed virgin mother because they are confused by the rampant anti catholic teachings from many sources as opposed to turning to a catholic source to properly understand what we practice and believe independently. if people knew what we taught and believe and not the misconceptions i think there would be alot more catholics and very few,if any, protestants in my humble opinion. god bless.

Protestants feel more emphasis is put on Mary at times rather than Jesus. Personally I think all of Christianity should hold a great respect for Mary because God did, but even Mary was not above Christ. Peace

Protestants do. However though we feel she was blessed, we do not glorify her at a level equal to God or Jesus. She was a regular person who is a model for believers. However no prayer or meditation should ever be directed to Mary or any human. Only God (trinity) is to be worshipped and prayed to.

You answered your own question..It was the people of the generation..Maybe some protestants don't, but some people from there generation do..Protestants don't represent an entire generation (smile)..Mary is blessed to be the one who carried the saviour of the world (JESUS)..But..All glory, honour and praises only goes to our Creator,GOD ALMIGHTY, who sent Jesus to us to redeem us from our sins..Mary was only a yielded servant of the LORD..love and peace

She never stayed virgin. She doesnt hold divine powers. Jesus and the disciples never prayed to her or said to pray to her. Matthew 1:24-25..When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.
She is blessed, not a virgin or devine.... Jesus is the intercessor between God and man.
