I have "dish-water" blonde hair and want to know whether or not lemons are a good way to lighten it. Will it damage my hair? Does it work?

Lemons worked amazingly on my hair. i have sort of a darker blonde hair too, and it definately brought out highlights! But you need sun for it to work, so if you live in a place like washington (like me) it won't really work. ( i tried it in my hair over vacation in arizona and it was awesome!)

hope i helped you :D

If your hair really is blonde, then being out in the sun will lighten it... Lemons TOTALLY won't damage your hair... I used to keep a bottle of lemon juice in the fridge, and whenever I was going to be outside for a while, I'd put some in... It really does help lighten your hair. :) Hope this helps!

Anything that lightens the hair can damage it. Don't use full strenght lemon juice but add bottled water to it about 1/2 and 1/2. Don't use a blow dryer but rather sit in the sun. It could produce uneven goldish tones in your natural color so be prepared. Personally, I suggest just going to get highlights at the salon. Look for a place that specializes in sunglitz by farouk.

its better than dyeing it. it shouldnt damage ur hair. take some lemon juice mixed with a some water. on a sunny day squirt it on ur hair, lay in the sun, it lightens ur hair. then take a shower when ur done laying in the sun ( the sun does someting to the juice or sumthing and makes ur hair lighter) . ur hair should be lighter now. keep doing it to get a lighter effect.
