Solid colors that are flattering to your skin tone. Keep in mind you may likely print them in black and white, so contrast as well as color is important.
You make-up should follow the same rules as above for make-up. Make-up for black and white photos differs from that of color photos, primarily it has much higher contrast (less color, more light and shadow) to highlight your bone structure and striking facial features. You should definitely consider hiring a make-up artist who specializes in headshot make-up if you can. Remember, you are already paying for the photos, why not make sure they turn out the best they can?
Don't wear anything too trendy. You'd like these headshots to last you for a few years, and your clothes can give away how old the photos really are. Stay classic.
Don't wear jewelry. I've heard from casting directors, producers and photographers (all in LA) that jewelry is a dead giveaway that you're new to the biz. The headshots I see with people wearing jewelry are typically from smaller market areas (Denver, Boston, etc).
Make sure to relax, breathe, be yourself and have fun. Chat with your photographer beforehand so you feel comfortable with them before they get behind the camera. Get some friendly pics with a gorgeous smile (best for commercials or comedies) and some serious pics with lively eyes (best for theatre and film).

you extremely do no longer want any, because of the fact any blemishes would be bumped off digitally or airbrushed until eventually now the terrific print. As a guy, you do no longer want to look "made up" for a headshot- organic is terrific. in all risk you may take a splash transluscent powder alongside in case the photographer desires to take the shine off. a qualified photographer, however, will understand while it is mandatory, and would have some available. i'd keep away from eyeliner, obtrusive base, and blush. A headshot is thoroughly distinctive from a teach in which you like theatrical makeup.

It depends on what the headshot is for. Are you planning to use it to get a job or for auditions or what? What you wear needs to be appropriate for the use of the photo. Keep it very simple. They want to see your face not your wardrobe and makeup. They want to see if they could do other things with your look. No bright colors just a white, ivory, cream or beige, whichever suits your skin the best. Simple natural makeup no jewelry except possibly simple earrings.

dw bout colour cause u wont be seeing much of it, thus the headshot, also get it in black and white as well as colour because they look really good. get airbrushing done but make sure u have big open eyes or make ur favourite facial feature stand out like ur lips or eyes. ears, wear earrings that border your face and make u look classic yet sophisticated. not cheap things. try shots that u arent looking at the camera, a smile, no smile, try everything u never know what will look the best

You should also considering wearing a top that is in contrast of your skin colour, or sometimes they would like it if you bring couple of more tops, with a variety of colours. It usually depends on the lighting equipments they are going to use, but of course, wear a smile and nothing less!

Turtleneck or high collar. If you feel daring, wear something off shoulder, with pearls. Consider whether dark or light looks better with your complexion.

Lots of mascara perhaps false eyelashes and a good makeup perhaps a little heavier than you would normally do.
