Don't define your spirituality by what other people do. Saying that you should stop going to church because of hypocrites is ridiculous, because even if it's true, so what? What matters is what you do, not what others are doing. If you're truly working on your own spirituality, you won't have time to sit around judging others. If a certain church doesn't work out for you, try another. There are plenty to choose from. Or pursue religious studies on your own, but don't blame others for your failure to thrive spiritually.

You say that church is full of hypocrits? Come on back. There is always room for one more.
I believe Matthew 7 starts by saying that we are not to judge others unless we want to be judged in the same manner. Also that we need to spot seeing fault in others and ignoring the fault in our own lives.
We are to pray for other people and lift them up. I could pound you with scriptures that would confirm all that I have said, but you already have your mind made up about how a Christian should behave and live and act and speak and dress and look and how much money a Christian should make.
Sorry we cannot all be as close to perfect as you but then there would be no fun in that... now would there?
I hope you find what you are looking for my friend.

You can't base Christianity as a whole on a group of people. BTW, you don't HAVE to go to a church to be a Christian. If you enjoy church, maybe find a new one that the participants are a bit More humble and friendly and loving. So, be a Christian!! Its your relationship with Jesus that makes you Christian, not the church you attend!

Well the saying goes that you have to be smaller than the thing you are hiding behind. The hypocrite excuse is one of the greatest cop-outs. Isn't the hypocrite excuse another stereotype. Isn't that like saying you don't like a certain race of people because you've met so many terrible people from that race? Aren't you judging in the worst way?
Jesus never said, "Follow my people", He said, "Follow me". If what you claim is true about your experience of Christianity, then those people aren't Christians anyway. Anyone can lie or be self deceived.

I do see your point, unfortunately there are so many Christians who don't live out what they say. But yes there are real Christians! There are people who live out what they believe. One man in particular who I know, who's like 60, is the most amazing guy ever. He is so nice and he's always talking about God, people like that make me realize how much I need to change in my life, and people like that also make me see how, yes, God does change lives. I hope that you can find a church with people seeking God in their everyday lives.

The bible says to come out from among them and be ye separate. If you are truly seeking God then he will lead you to where you will be fed spiritually and grow in grace and the knowledge of Christ. Don't give up, the trial of your faith is more precious than that of gold. There are groups of Christians that God is bringing together online because they aren't getting fed in the churches they're going to. It's up to you if you have the faith to believe that he can bring you into fellowship with like-minded believers. I was just sitting in a chat room and he brought two brothers in Christ into the room at different times who I now share a lot of spiritually rich time with. God works miracles in our lives, and he is more gracious the more we are in need. You can email me if you want to know more.

Sounds as if you may be at the wrong church. Sounds like you go to church with Sunday only Christians.

This is why Christians should all strive to live a clean life, above reproach, so that our lives may be our testimony. Hypocrisy leaves a bad taste in anybody's mouth. Yes, there are real Christians.

If you are looking for non sinning christians you won't find any, "All sin and fall short of the glory of God"
You say you aren't a christian because of others actions, what do you think God would say about that? Why don't you go to church to worship God and worry about yourself.

My mom always said that " you can go to church with the hypocrites or you can go to hell with the hypocrites." You probably go to school or work with hypocrites; Do you think maybe you should quit going to those places, too?
