Why do Evolutionists claim they don't worship Darwin, then come to a Religion and Spirituality forum to preach the Gospel of Evolutionism According to Darwin?

If it's not a religion, why do they seek out religious discussions to talk about it? That would be like trying to claim you subscribe to the Playboy Channel for the articles. LOL!

because darwin is the founding father of evolution, but just a man, not a god.

No...because Darwinism isn't a religion. The only people that make that claim are ignorant theistically infected types.

Because unlike you theists, who are liars through and through, evolutionists don't lie. They don't worship Darwin. The theory that Darwin popularized has changed so much that Darwin was just the igniter. You apparently don't understand he evolutionists arguments then.

When you see atheists seeking out religious discussion, it is to point out the OBVIOUS flaws in said religion. Having a a discussion does not equate religion, genius. And your Playboy analogy isn't even an analogy.

Darwin is just a scientist with a theory on evolution and our origins.. Besides it contradicting the bibles take on where we came from I honestly dont know how it can be considered a religion at all..

And to those people who beleive in Darwins theory the bibles teachings could seem a little.. Well lets just say they think they have it right and want to inform or argue their case against whats taught in the various religions..

Evolutionisms Theory was founded by Darwin.. thus they are going to use his theories as their evidence.. just like Bible thumpers will use the bible.

Hope that helps.

it really is the only one which you study about. There are something like 18 different species established from numerous dozen fossils which have became up because the Eighteen Eighties. Many fossils of Australopithecus were established considering the fact that 1934 with close to - finished skulls accessible by using the Sixties. there became a conflict of words about no matter if or not they could walk upright, in many circumstances led to by using diverse strategies of measuring the skulls. The British scientist Solly Zuckerman took the view that they could no longer. the discovery of the "Lucy " fossils in 1973 settled the remember because it coated leg bones and a pelvis, exhibiting that they were tailored for an upright posture. In 1981 between the leaders of the Institute of advent study, Dr. Duane Gish began to declare that Zuckerman had studied the Lucy fossil for 15 years. because the fossil had only been established for 8 years on the most, that became obviously a lie. better, Zuckerman had retired from lively technological awareness by using about 1970 and that's probably that he never even said the fossils. Gish became publicly corrected yet he repeated the declare a minimum of four circumstances before 1991. This proving previous all doubt that he's a planned and continual liar. a similar lie ought to nonetheless be discovered on the information superhighway 2 or 3 years in the past. Your classification of Lucy as a monkey better confirms your blinkered, planned and disgusting lack of information or propensity to lie at will. EDIT Creationism Lies lower back

Modern evolution only superficially resembles Darwinian evolution. It's kinda like saying I look like my wife...some basic similarities (1 head, 2 arms, 2 legs, 10 fingers, 2 eyes etc.), but some very obvious differences.

Secondly, a "religion" denotes a supernatural or mystical connotation. Evolution is a scientific theory (and very good one, at that). Science only concerns itself with natural, understandable things.

3 - There is no "Gospel of Evolutionism." A gospel is a book taken as true at face value. Evolutionism isn't a word. So, you're talking about a book that is taken as true about something that doesn't exist. Now, I can TOTALLY understand that point of view...except that I am unfamiliar with this particular "Gospel of Evolutionism." Could you perhaps give me the ISBN number so that I can check my library?

Incidentally, I do read Playboy for the articles. There's much better porn out there.

No one worships Darwin in any real sense. The more rational among us realise that his existence isn't even necessary for the theory of evolution to have been formulated - Wallace came up with it independently.

The R&S forum is a place with a high density of people who are grossly misinformed about basic scientific principles. So a fair number of us are here just to dispel myths.

LOL preach? Well... lets see Science has HUGE amounts of evidence that evolution happens, that natural selection happens and I am wondering why some people have issues with people figuring out how God made the world work.

They are not saying that because of evolution and natural selection that those things were not INTENDED by God. They are only stating the evidence shows that things evolve

Imagine going back in time to biblical days and talking about genetics, or astro physics... you cant explain advanced subjects to primitive people.. So just like in every single class you gloss over some things and as you get older you find out some of what you were told is not the whole truth.

Evolution is what God intended. Quit being full of yourself.

Guess anything that is averse to your point of view has to be a religious belief because you simply can't think outside that box. Everything has to be a "religion". Must be the belief thing.

YOU have a specific religious belief that is not true for me. I have the freedom to consider many different possible explanations for the state of our universe and pursue genuine scientific methodology to attempt to disprove them.

You have decided the answer is something that supports your predetermined beliefs and will pervert scientific methodology to "prove" your beliefs. That includes various forms of misrepresentation of Darwinian theory or other natural selection theory (yes - evolution is a process that occurs - the theory is natural selection as the mechanism).

You subject yourself to a religion. I support natural selection as the theory most-supported by the evidence - not a belief in anything, really. That's the part you either can't or are unwilling to grasp.

Sad.

Sigh.
The only reason it's discussed in R & S at all is because creationists insist on making it a religious issue.
It is not a religion, it is a science. Darwin originated the theory. We are simply flabbergasted that it is such a hotbed issue to them, and don't understand why a science is being made into a religious issue.

What's an Evolutionist? Most Christians believe in Evolution. Evolution is no religion, as soon as something in it is proved wrong, it is not believed in anymore. But it isn't yet, in contrary, more and more facts are discovered everyday. Not so in religions. Science worships nothing but the truth, I don't have 'faith' in science, it's in flux all the time. There is still so much to learn and discover.

It's easiest to stem Creationist lies at the source.

Darwinism isn't a religion. My understanding of evolution goes far beyond Darwin. I don't confuse religion and science. Only deceptive theists do that.
