Ok so i know Mormons who go to church on Sundays and go to seminary and say that they are true to their church, but then they go out and do things like drink coffee, drink alcohol, swear, and other things. Do they like repent or something to make it all go away or are they just faking being "true" to their religion?

Ok, first thing you have to know, the church is perfect the people aren't. Often people will make bad choices.

But yes, if we make mistakes we repent, and are forgiven. If we truly repent, and actually mean it then yes, we are forgiven and our God doesn't see that fault in us anymore, but if we don't truly repent then there was no point in knelling to repent to begin with. We must be sincere.

Repentance doesn't exactly "make it all go away," as I said before it must be true repentance, and often times even when we do truly repent we stilll often feel the guilt even if the Lord has forgiven us. That's just something we need to cope with through prayer.

Mormon's are people to and there is no perfect person on this plant today.

Humans are fallible and the repentant process is a personal issue between them, Heavenly Father and their Bishop.

Repentance and forgiveness is key to all Religious Sects and all Religious Sects are filled with human beings, when they do something different then what is deemed of them "are they just faking being true to their religion"?

I will admit that as a "Mormon" I have set high standards for myself and yes there have been times when I have slipped and fallen, but knowing that I have forgiveness waiting for me when I am truly repentant and ask for my Heavenly Fathers forgiveness and help in overcoming my weakness it makes me a better person and Mormon.

Like the Savior once said, the "Whole have no need for a physician," meaning that Church is for those that have the need to repent. In other words, for all of us who are not perfect yet.

While it would be good if everyone lived their religion perfectly, that is not the case with us humans with our frailties. Mormons, like everyone else SHOULD practice their religion to the best of their abilities. however, some do not do a very good job of it. Please don't judge an entire group based on the actions of a few.

I cannot speak for other LDS members, but when I became reactivated in November 2004 I followed the Word of Wisdom and have not broken it.

Since then I've muttered some foul words in frustration or anger, but have repented of that, praying to avoid such repetitions. To help me overcome these shortcomings and sins I read the scriptures every day. There is more that I could report, but it isn't necessary here.

It is a challenge, but one I'm happily engaged in as I use my Temple recommend frequently.

Well first of all, most people don't drink coffee, alcohol, and do other things that truly are LDS, but the few that do have made mistakes and if they are truly part of the faith they will repent and never do those things again.

mostly everyone in a religion are not true and fake it most the time, doesn't matter what the religion is, you have priest molesting children so I'm sure regular church goers are not very comitted to their religion, they probably just feel better theyre going to church on Sunday

They are faking it, See our church isn't about what you should and shouldn't do. It's about making the right decison for you, and if your only going to church because your parents want you too ect. Then your not doing those things for the right reason. Unless you do it because you truly want to then your really not being true to yourself...or what you pretend to believe.
