Not much difference really...some people say good looking some will say quite good looking....maybe the English use the "quite good" looking more
Example

"Why I say, She is quite good looking..wouldn't you say Rupert?"
Why I say, yes.. I do believe she is quite good looking Giles"

When a American would say "Well looky there Bob she is good looking ain't she.
"You said it Frank she is good looking" Lets go have a closer look see Danny boy". YEE HAA

Okay, so here is the DL-Quite good looking means that on a scale from 1-10, your hottness is about a 7-10 hot is between 5-7, good looking is about from 3-5 and anything under 3-means youa re U-G-L-Y!

Agreed - it's in the eye of the beholder, but if the same person said both than obviously the person who is "quite" good looking is probably, in their opinion at least, not as good looking as the person who is simply "good looking".

But if they said "wow, she is QUITE good looking" with emphasis on quite, then it could easily be the complete opposite, hehe

You should ask the person who said this what they meant if you wish to know, as is no way for us to know what they meant really =)

I guess quite good looking is a few steps better than good looking, maybe a nice complexion or something that tops the good looking out. I don't know, just trying to help.

It's all in the eyes of the beholder. A person becomes better looking after you've known them a while and they have a good personality. They become less attractiveto you if they aren't a nice person!

I'm taking that to me that it's better looking than just good looking since they added the word quite. But what do I know.

nothing much....but adding "quite" may add a little emphasis on the good looking and might be a little less cheesy than saying just "good looking"

It's the difference between a real person shining through and a person who is conceited...
