Now, I'm not for insulting people AT ALL, but it seems these days you can't say ANYTHING without p!ssing someone off.
People are so afraid of offending someone, that they sometimes don't speak up when something DESPERATELY needs to be said. That being said, I think that what Don Imus said was asinine in the extreme and he deserved to be fired. I think the Rutgers basketball team should get to kick his a**.

Dennis....I know it cuts both ways. You are the one jumping on MY speech because you didn't agree with it....guess that makes YOU wrong too.

I totally agree, I have been told that the good old nursery rhyme Baa Baa black sheep, should now be Baa Baa rainbow sheep. It's getting out of hand. Of course no one wants to be offensive, but when everyone is getting scared to mention any colour, gender, or sexuality, then it's getting crazy.

You are politically correct when you say that, " Don Imus deserved to be fired". So, congradulations, you ARE a member of the Politically Correct Culture! Your PCC badge will probably be mailed to you sometime soon.

Suprise you're guilty of it too. Funny how you're so gung ho for freedom of speech except when it's something you disagree with. Sorry but it cuts both ways.

I agree. I don't want to insult anyone or hurt anyone's feelings. It used to be easy not to be offensive - one just needed to be polite. But not anymore. It is hard now to know what to say.

Imus loves being offensive I think.

Imus was out of line there is no question there. But I do get tired of having to hedge around things because you never know what exactly will set someone off. I made this one woman mad when she corrected me from referring to someone as "black" to "African American" years ago. I told her, "Sure, if you refer to me as a 'Western European American' ".

Yes, the country is being run by brainwashed sheep. Oddly they are the machine they hate so much. The educated, upper class elite.

No matter what you say you're going to offend someone. I don't advocate racial slurs of course but it's pointless to be so PC. I don't know the path to happiness but I do know it's not trying to please everyone.
