The next mass extinction that will include humans will be the tribulation and God will be sending Jesus to save believers at some point around this time. This earth will not be forever, that is prophesied.

If humans don't survive the next mass extinction, tht would be proof that there isn't a god and that everything in all the religious books is just lies and conjecture.

Scientists predict cockroaches will survive any mass extinction, so in a few million years maybe there will be a cockroach version of Yahoo Q&A, and the topics will be if God sent his son to save the faithful, how many legs would he have?

Read the old TESTAMENT! God had promised to not destroy life again, as he did during the time of Noah. New life is created daily. New life means means change or evolution. The Kingdom of Heaven lasts forever. Live for GOD and you'll live for eternity.

You do believe in God, don't you? Or do you regularly frame lame hypothetical questions around things you don't think exist?

I think god will simply throw up his hands and say, "Geez - that sure didn't work out too well.."

If he does send Jesus back, I think he should also come with a disclaimer written in HUGE BOLD PRINT:

"BIBLE IS NOT, NOR WAS IT EVER, MEANT TO BE TAKEN LITERALLY!!"
