No, but I have marveled at it many times. Great use of the word witness though.
from Merriam-Webster:
witness (noun) 5 a : something serving as evidence or proof : SIGN b : public affirmation by word or example of usually religious faith or conviction

I can honestly say I have never looked at the clear night sky and said "Wow, what a witness"
Never.

There's such a thing as a clear night nowadays? And here I am, thinking that light and chemical pollution had forced them into extinction....
Otherwise, I think that yes, I would. Seeing the haze of the Milky Way (instead of having to imagine it) would make me pass out with pure, unpolluted, very stunned ecstasy. Witnessing the sky of our ancestors, indeed. My jealousy of those little apes crowded around a campfire makes my heart thud.

Witness?
No. I usually think (not say out loud) "Wow - I wonder whether there IS any other life out there".
The probability is high but the fact is that it would be too far away for any actual contact. Maybe that's for the best.
Witness? That was a Harrison Ford movie.

A clear night sky? Not likely bud.Polution is a real problem and combined with our passion for artificial light creates incredible amounts of skyshine. The few stars that are visible are not a proof of God to me either.

God to Abraham -
And He took him outside and said, "Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." Then he believed on the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness." Genesis 15:5-6
Praise the Lord
For it is good to sing praises to our God
For it is pleasant and praise is becoming.
He counts the number of the stars
and gives names to all of them ! Psalm, 147:1 & 4
What a witness indeed

Yes, I've sat under the stars before and thought about how small I am compared to the vastness of the universe. I've thought about how far away it all is, compared to everything I normally experience on earth, and realized what a little speck I am. It's amazing.

yes, i have...i live in the country, where you can actually see stars at night-i am constantly amazed. i think back to my astronomy class, where i learned how far away and just how huge the stars are, and how many there are, and the beauty just takes my breath away-so complex yet so simple...when i was in college, i was out walking one night and the northern lights were extremely vivid and active...i'll never forget how the sight made me feel...God really has created an amazing universe...

Absolutely - and when I look at photos from the Hubble telescope and see all the grand and totally incomprehensible nature of the universe, I wonder what kind of a god is that who's so damn'd concerned with what I drink or who I sleep with...
