the o.g. tomato was small and it looked like a berry yet because of it being crossed bread with other things to make it bigger it is the size we know now and following the seed rules it is a fruit

actually just because something has seed does not classify it as a fruit
here are 2 examples of veggies with seeds; squash, cucumber, they are small, but they are there and blend in with the meat, yes they are very edible
