The two best places to start is the college's Disabled Students Union and the local Office or Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. The second can be located via the blue pages in the phone book under government services or via the state government's website. The college will help you get adaptations to attend school. The government's job is to help you re enter the workforce, and there is some help through them through Social Security's Ticket to Work program. I will also provide some other sources for funding your bachelor's degree.

First, the college's financial aid office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from outside organizations and companies. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.

Second, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.

Third, fill out the FAFSA form because it will tap into need based financial aid from the state and federal governments along with the college itself.

Finally, I recommend joining several free membership scholarship search websites, but the best I have located is Scholarship Experts since they have a very thorough and lengthy survey to complete compared to Fastweb. There are scholarships for a variety of things including ethnicity, clubs, hobbies, and even wearing duct tape to the high school prom. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most offer a customized search based on information entered onto a form on the website.

Good luck!

Try filling out the FAFSA form. That's the form for student aid. I would imagine you could qualify for financial assistance, if your walking troubles are considered a disability by say...social security.

Contact Social Security and see what they can do for you. You do have to jump through a lot of hoops and fill our miles of forms, but in the long run, it will be worth it. Look in the yellow pages and see where your local social security office is and go and pay them a visit.

There is a Pell Grant for those who demonstrate financial need. You do not have to pay it back and it will cover the full cost of your tuition. You have to reapply every year though. Fill out a FAFSA form here to see if you qualify. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
