It sounds great on paper and that point sells a lot of Monstercable, but I know some high-end audiophiles who scoff at it. What do you think?

I do believe in the benefit of good cables. At the moment I am just asking for opinions on the audible benefits of time-correct windings.

Bob M is a poo poo head!!!

that said as a consumer electronics R&D engineer I have done my own study of monster cable and have found that they do offer improvment.

By wiring one side of a stereo with standard cables and the other side with monster I noticed a huge diference in overall imaging and freq responce.

True Audiophiles will not scoff at Monster, they realize that not every one can afford $3000 interconnects from transparent. Ask to listen to the "Audiophiles system" last time some niny knocked my system.( Krell Preamp& mono blocks, Martin Logan Accent 2, sunfire 15in sub) I found out he was a no name part time flunky from Best Buy!

His System consited of a Emerson 15W clock radio!!!

You are the one that needs to be happy with the way your system sounds. Listen to Qualified Monster reps to help you hear the diference and explain. As a former sales rep for a High end store I never sold Monster Cables, they sold themselves.

You brought up a GREAT question. In my view, it all sounds good in the advertising and technical papers. But, does it actually make an audible improvement in a system? I never thought so. But then, someone might feel that it does. I don't see a real answer here at all.

Although good quality, way overpriced... It is very hard to believe Monster's claims on improved audio quality. The are a world class marketing company, just like Bose. If there is any difference, it is very minute.. Cables and connects are among the worst investments in my book. As long as you buy a quality brand with quality build materials, save the $$$ and spend the difference you saved on better A/V equipment

"Interconnects might sound different, but only if they use odd construction techniques. Generally speaking, all properly (sensibly) designed and well made interconnects will sound the same - excluding noise pickup which is common with unshielded designs".

The ear brain mechanism is very strange. It is very hard to retain the memory of how something sounded the last time you listened to music. Also it can sound quiet different depending what mood you are in when you listen to your system. If you are using cable from the same manufacture all the time you become used to the way your setup generally sounds. If you buy new cables that look impressive on paper such as the Monster cables in your question, there is no valid way of discerning whether they "sound"better or not.
If you think you can hear a difference you will (power of suggestion) and your ear brain mechanism will decide if they are better or not. This is one of the great dilemmas when listening to sound and this is what manufactures rely on to sell their equipment. They say its good and we believe them.

properly i replaced right into a uncertain christian for many my teenage years. My mind replaced into nevertheless arising and is now. i'm 16 and characteristic "switched over" to an agnostic/deistic view on life, which ability i'd beleive in some form of god or goddess and extremely an afterlife, yet am no longer positive. also I beleive this/those god(s) haven't got any influence on everyday life. besides... imagine of the historic Romans around the time christianity replaced into turning out to be customary. How did they clarify a organic disaster? Their gods and goddesses. What i'm attempting to assert is that human beings decrease back then did not understand their global as well as we do on the instantaneous. we may be able to describe tornados and earthquakes. ought to you position your faith in a e book with out evidence, written by technique of uneducated faith-blinded adult adult males? imagine about this my way for only a minute. Does it make sence? The very last theistic faith to look replaced into Wicca decrease back in 1951. yet even then it replaced into an in basic terms about direct by-product of a medievil pagan faith around the crusading circumstances (we are gaining awareness of this in heritage). because that we've mastered our global (virtually speaking) and characteristic no last evidence of the Christian faith yet blindness on my own (my change note for faith), then what else? Do you comprehend my factor? contained in the proper, it is your own decision. it really is everybody's personal personal decision. do not let all of us substitute your recommendations, yet a minimum of evaluate what i have typed... It took a lengthy time period.

Congratulations to Monster Cables for finding another way to hype their overpriced cables. I guess sales were lagging so they had to come up with "new and improved" cables... sheeesh -- are they overrated... I get all my cables from Monoprice.com and recommend them highly. Very fine high quality cables at rock bottom prices. Never had a problem with them whatsoever and they perform just as well as the overpriced monsters.

Sound better, never heard it, but they are easier to tie up and look nicer than regular ones. I have never had a monster cable go bad yet, but have had plenty of those other ones fail over the years. I guess it is safe than sorry for me, because I do not want to pull all that stuff out again to replace a bad cable.

good on paper but difference can only be noted in very high end products where everything is caliberated with respect to the room, location etc. Not so much visible in normal every day systems.

i have all monster cable i noticed no difference over my cheap cables except for the speakers cables it made a slight difference. and the move form analog to optical you could notice more detail.

i know that cables dont make a hugedifference but i couldent stand having those cheap cables that were just lying around the house. even if they dont help in sound they look pretty cool.

you want low R and hi current capability. there is a great deal of false information about cables....think about Ohms law...still valid after all these years. DO NOT believe the ad hype
