maybe you are undereating or not doing cardio enough.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

There is insufficient information to determine a cause as to why. Lets get started though!

First lets get all the facts,Whats your weight?
What is your targeted or desired weight?
How prepared are you?
Are you ready for the work involved in losing weight /adjusting your body to the shock of losing body mass and toning muscle?
Now get a doctors opinion of your physical limitations and abilities....

Why I say all this is because for some, dieting and excerscise
can be actually detrimental. We have to take a serious approach to not mistake what we want, with what we are able to have. I hope I am not giving a bleak outlook to you hear, the fact is, it concerns me when misinformation is the cause of many people, especially women, being hurt behind wanting to lose weight. Not just physically, emotionally and psychologically discouraged due to mis information.

My sister take precausion and learn properly, if you are still having problems with getting started or need any other help e-mail me or contact me again, I am into working out and keeping physically fit. If I can help you in any way other than this please feel free to let me know!

You must build up or speed up your metabolism via cardio exercises like walking, swimming or jogging. To give you body adequate daily exercise, you only need to walk 10,000 steps per day; get a pedometer and at the very least, star walking eveyday.

Another alternative would be to build more body mass, i.e body muscle, which in turn would help burn calories a lot quicker, thus helping you reduce weight. Never miss breakfast. Never eat 3 hours or less before bedtime. Cut back on fatty and sugary foods.

Never eat foods that have more than 4 g of sugar per 100g. Never eat foods with more than 4g of fat per 100g. Limit your consumption of foods that are have high fructose content or trans-fatty acids or any saturated fats. Eat foods high in fiber because they fill you tummy a lot quickly and for a long time. Always drink a glass of water before a meal and it will prevent you from over-eating. Most importantly eat a balanced diet by using the food pyramid as your guide.

there is only one way to lose weight: by running a calorie deficit. this means expending more calories than you consume, every single day.

counting the calories you consume is pretty easy - most foods have labels and there are several websites that list calorie data for everything else you might consume. start keeping track, if you're not already.

counting the calories you expend is much trickier. the calorie-counters on treadmills represent averages based on speed, so it might not necessarily apply to you. however, there are some things you can do to make sure that you're burning body fat and not just muscle glycogen.

don't do short, intense cardio workouts. if your heart is pumping too fast, not enough oxygen can dissolve into your blood, and your body will rely on the stored energy in your muscles for fuel. this stored energy is called glycogen, and while it represents calories you CAN burn, it doesn't include fat - the calories you want to burn.

instead, do long, easy cardio workouts. studies show that the longer you continue cardio workouts below 85% VO2max (the threshold of absorbing enough oxygen into the blood), the more stored body fat you will use as fuel. the obvious advantage is that your body will become accustomed to using stored body fat as fuel, thereby lowering your weight.

All depends on our metabolism and if there is more to a problem. Have you seen a doctor? What kind of diet are you on or tried? Get a treamill, go for walks, dont eat to much bread and dont nibble in between or eat late snacks or food.:) good luck.
