See the problem with socialism and communism is you are rebelling against human nature. As we have proved with our welfare system, what happens is people don't try.

Imagine on your next test, the teacher tells you she is giving you all Bs since that is the class average. Now you usually work really hard to get an A or a B and you study for hours. But now you know you will get a B regardless. Do you think you'd waste 2-3 nights studying? Would you really?

People just do not show the entrepreneur spirit. Why would someone work hard to invent new technologies if they get rewarded equally if they actually work at all? The group mentality sets in and there is no reason to make youself stand out among the group since the verdict is equally split.

Socialism and Communism sound great on paper but our basic human nature despises the thought of working for no reward. And just like our welfare system, when people are being kept in a cushiony lifestyle while sitting on their butts, they have no reason to aspire to get off their butts. To prove that theory all you have to do is look at most of the children of celebrities and the fit they can throw if they don't get a $100,000 car for their 16th bday.

I think people should work hard. I think the fact that I know how to save my money, how to invest correctly, and not blow everything I make on dvds and the newest playstation is not something I should be punished for. My ability to plan for retirement (even though I'm only in my 20s) should not be held against me. You should be encouraged to save your own money. You should use your creativity to create the next big thing. You should not be encouraged to mooch off people your whole life and expect them to work hard enough to take care of you.

Socialism encourages laziness. Communism encourages tyranny. Neither are things I support.

I agree with you completly. If you own more then one manchian and drive more then two cars for yourself then you should give some of that money to people that need or deserve it. I'm constantly complaining about these famous people that give $1 million dollars or less when they are worth hundreds of millions, own their own islands and five manchians around the world, or send thousands of dollars to fly their dog by private jet to another location. I work 80 hours a week at a very physical, dirty, smelly factory to bring home $25,000 a year. I can't afford college.

Oprah has a reputable show that caters and is watched by large audiences all over the world. When she gives she would say it is out of her own pocket for that particular charity or school or whatever. The rest she will mention when her show ends that it was sponsored by so and so of what company etc. They need a reputable voice to back up their products, she distributes them. Lucky she gets a taste of what the rest of the population is handed out.

People should keep the money they earn and not be force to support others. I understand helping people who have had a tragedy, but most of the time it's irresponsible behavior and bad decisions that cause poverty.

If people can't afford diapers, they shouldn't of had kids.
