the two verbs that mean are...are...estar-to be, and ser-to be
the estar verb is usually for temporary things such as:
I am sick - yo estoy enfermo
I am tired - yo estoy cansado
the ser verb is usually for more permanent things such as:
I am tall - yo soy alto
I am smart - yo soy intelligente
A full present tense conjugation of estar would be like this:
I am - yo estoy
you are - tu estas
he/she are - ello/ella esta
we are - nosotros estamos
they are - ustedes/ellos/ellas estan
A full present tense conjugation of ser would be like this:
I am - yo soy
you are - tu eres
he/she are - ello/ella es
we are - nosotros somos
they are - ustedes/ellos/ellas son
...and that's just in the present tense, you want past tense, future tense, subjunctive... that would take all day, I think you got the idea though. Peace
