It sounds like a symptom of General Anxiety Disorder, or possibly a mild panic attack. There are many ways to calm yourself down and feel less overwhelmed.
Work on your scheduling and organizational skills, talk to someone about your worries, prioritize your to-do lists, etc. If you can't manage on your own, there are counselling and therapy options that can help you control feelings of panic. Some people find that learning meditation can help them control their thoughts - which, in turn, controls their feelings. As a last resort (hopefully!) some people use medication to control panic and anxiety. Depression is closely associated with anxiety too, but it is definitely treatable.

Not exactly like that, but when I have been really exhausted and have taken a nap and then wake, I panic for a moment because I don't know if it is morning or night or how long I have slept. It takes me a while to be aware again.

I have paniced after waking up, but not for the reasons you stated. Sleep paralasis.....the creepiest thing ever. I dont take naps because of this. When I wake up, I cant move or even speak. I know that I'm up, but cant move. Eventually, like maybe a minute after, everythings fine.

Yes, i have that feeling when I was a visa student. I have to move over 13 times due to school location in a year. When I woke up everytime, I was like having a heart attack. I wondered where I was each time. Then after I've settled, I still have problems of pounding heart when i got up...like I have tons of things I have not finished, forgot to study for tests and exams..etc.. After taking anti anxiety drugs for a long while, I am ok now.

That does happen to me everyonce in a while. I wake up not quite sure of wehre I am and why I am there (even in my own house). And I can't go back to sleep either just because I feel so weird and out of it that I have to get up and og out into the real world.

I remember doing it during a depression period after I found out I was an outcast in the circle of my friends and family. Only in sleep did i escape the pain of rejection so profound and destroying. To awake was to see the horrors of a group of winners talking in the second vocabulary and watching out for me.

Don't nap! Or practice the method at http://deeplyrelax.com on awakening. A post it note, or reminder in your cellular mobile to do this, may help, until the habit is ingrained.
