how many people have you known with cancer?

i've noticed lately that alot of cancer has gone around. i honestly can say i've known at least 7 people that have had some form of cancer. is it just me or is this becoming something that we should really take note in.

You notice it not because there are more cases but because there are more survivors of the disease. People are also more open about having cancer than they were even a few years ago. Few people used to admit that they had cancer. But, much of that attitude has changed, thus we become more aware of the people around us who now have cancer. It's out of the closet, so to speak.

Cancer is an old disease. It's been around for thousands of years and was once untreatable. Now we have survivors for each type of cancer as well as each grade and stage of cancer.

Of course, much still remains to be done to eradicate this disease for good.

I think that you are right...it really seems that a lot more people suffer from cancer then years ago.Sometimes and that might sound far fetched but I'm wondering if it could come from cell phones and microwaves too? I remember hearing about that before ,but they are not sure...but it is a possibility.Its pretty scary to me.I'm actually glad that you asked that question.I personally know 4 people that have cancer.

my music teacher and my grandpa. i know what you mean, i think its all the pollution because i never used to walk around downtown where theres a lot of smoke from all of the cars buses and people smoking, and now i always feel like ****
