"Resist the devil and he will Flee"-because God personally kicked the devil out of me?

But the hundreds of thousands(yes, that many) of child soldiers in Africa forced to commit horrible crimes must continue living hell on earth?

What right does such a powerful God (who casts the "devil" out of everyone who asks) have to purposely allow hundreds of thousands of children to suffer?

That's the million dollar question, isn't it? If God can cure all disease and save people from dying, well? Why isn't he doing it?

The Christian religion believes in a personified God that is all-knowing, everywhere, and Omnipotent. Many religions believe in this type of God even though the cruelty in the world is contrary to this ideal.

How could a God create a human race that tortures and murders many innocent people and other living beings? An all-knowing God would foresee this tradgey and instead create loving beings.

In the old testament, God drowned many living things during the flood. Why did "he" create such a race and then drown them? This is one of the many reasons that the Christian religion makes no sense. However, a personified God is all that many can comprehend and find solace in.

What makes better sense is an impersonal higher creative power that is not a personified being. It is not vengeful. It simply is. "It's" laws simply create and allow its creation to make its own decisions. This is an abstract concept that is not always easy to understand.

Evil is a product of the human race not a devil or some other imaginary creature. We must take responsibility for our own actions.

We are a creation of an order, so to speak, that could be called a higher power or just Life not God.

You obviously can think for yourself. This is refreshing.

Man is responsible for man's inhumanity to man. It's his sinful nature. You don't understand the meaning of that scripture....resist the devil is encouragement to the Christian that if you don't give in to the devil's temptations, he will go away for a time & leave you alone for a time. It's nothing to do with unbelievers. Also, what's going on in Africa is because of men who are evil by nature & have no desire to come to God. God has the answer for man's evil ways and there will be a reckoning. Sometimes there is an actual devil in a person but, that is not "the devil", but an evil spirit or evil angel that is a follower of "the devil". An evil spirit can be cast out with prayer & fasting. But, generally, men are evil enough on their ownwithout having an evil spirit indwelling. What right does man have to question the Creator of the Universe? Well, actually He allows us to ask questions of Him, just don't be irreverent when you do it. This is the Alpha and Omega. Show some respect for the One Who created you and allows you to live....and rant on & on. If you only knew the love He has for you....... and I pray you come to know Him. There are whole nations that have rejected God and they reap their own reward. In the end, God will judge not just individuals, but every nation. The evil in this world was not brought here by God and He has made a way for man to find Him through Jesus, Christ, His Son. I pray these things can become clear to your understanding so that you may find God for yourself. Quit blaming God for what man has done and know that He will not wait much longer before He ends it all. Until then I pray God watches over you.

the devil lingers, he is not inside of everyone. he isn't omnipresent.

you want children to die?

God has to follow laws. you want Him to stoop down to the moral level of 2/3 of the humans on Earth? Common sense says that if God is Good He will Help. Common sense says if He is omnipotent, He can Help. Common sense says that if God's not helping, something's stopping Him; not physically, spiritually. and guess what that is: His passport.

God can't be an illegal immigrant in our world, so He has to be here on full terms: sinless people, wanting God's work to be done, having Faith.

O.K.
GOD made a legal contract with mankind through Adam. GOD gave us the Authority to Rule the Earth for 6000 years. GOD was suppose to help us (down here personally) to learn how to use this Authority.
Adam kicked GOD out and changed gods to satan. GOD had to leave Personally from the Earth, and watch.
WE got the legal Authority to Rule, Adam let satan into the Earth, satan gets us to kill, steal and destroy using that Authority.
Do not mix-up
1. "demon possessed" with
2. "the devil is oppressing me" and
3. "Adam changed gods to satan"

Those are THREE Different things.
Sincerely hope this helps.
Ditto.

What does God have to do with what is happening in Africa. It is called the Dark Continent for a reason. Those that go there to shed some light are killed for their efforts, and they are doing God's work.

You can't blame man's inhumanity to man on God. Jesus came to show us a way to live as God intended. Those heathens have a choice as to who they want to follow just like you do. What choice did you make? Are you aligning yourself with them or with God?

anyone who believes in a supreme being that plays an active role in human affairs cannot escape the dilemma of explaining why bad things happen to good people. Scapegoating to any 'devil' or other sub-god doesn't cut it; your original supreme being personification is still responsible.

God's not -into- that sort of thing, man. God just takes it -easy-. He's not like "oh my god this" and "oh my god that" like everyone else. He's just like "yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah" and he just lets it all go by and doesn't stress. Don't stress man, don't stress.
