Go to irs.gov and print off the form. If you are self employed and did receive a 1099 and you owe money to the IRS, filling an extension won't help you to defer the money you owe. 90% of your dept has to be paid by April 17, 2007. Other wise you will have a penalty.

You just file for an extension. It's free. Don't forget that you still have to send in payment for any taxes owed. You only get an extension to FILE, not to PAY.

You shouldn't have to pay anything to file for an extension, you can do it yourself. See http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf?portlet=3
