IQ (intelligence quotient) measures your latent abilities. Being "smart" can mean what you know rather than what you're capable of accomplishing.

Does low IQ doom you to menial jobs? Hardly. I know a complete moron who is now a physician. She was ambitious and worked hard. She would complain to professors for better grades. She was on top of things enough to see her goal and do whatever it took to accomplish it. But she was still a complete moron.

I had a roommate who was making six figures while still in his 20s. He would ask me things like "Do I put a 'a' or 'an' in front of 'incompetent'?" and "Is .60 the same thing as 60%?"

Although intelligence can make life a lot easier ambition and hard work have a greater impact in the short term. So if you're not the brightest light bulb out there you better find out what you want right now and start busting your hump to get it.

Good Luck

Absolutely- there are a million different kinds of 'smart' other than the stereotypical 'school smart'. All you have to do is be confident and have self esteem, and you will find some thing that you are 'smart' at. As for being 'school smart', be curious in general. If you don't know a word, look it up. Go out of your way to learn new and useful things. Good luck!
