"The Wizard of Oz" that's funny because that is my favorite movie of all time. If you really think about that movie, when Dorothy goes to Oz and it is all colorful, it kind of reminds me of how heaven will be, but no wicked witch (Satin).
Jesus Christ is definitely my biggest inspiration as well. My eight year old daughter Ashley is next of course. She was diagnosed with leukemia last January and she had to have a bone marrow transplant. She had such a strong faith in Jesus and God through it all and she is healed, cancer free. Praise God.

I thing we must all answer Jesus Christ, but as far as an earthly answer, first comes to mind, my grandpa, a school teacher and bivocational Baptist preacher in the early 1900"s in Missouri, and from 1939 to 1950, mine. He taught me Bible and poetry and literature, and left me with a love for all three that I retain yet. Then, My father, also a bivocational preacher, and many preachers I remember from our Church, and my home, which my mother made a welcome gathering place for them. I remember one pastor of our very small church in about 1950 who received only $25. a month salary, and who had an ill wife, when told he would be paid that month, but the church didn't see where next months pay would come from, and he was being told so he could persue other arrangements if he had to, rose and told us that God hadn't told him that his job was through there: that he needed the money as he knew we all did, but if God wanted him there, he would take care of him. He is walking golden streets now, and I feel God Himself has told him, well done.

I grew up in a Christian home, but did not accept Jesus as my savior until I was 13. My biggest inspiration in my spiritual walk here on earth is my bother. He is always there for me when I am struggling with anything. I am very glad that you did get to know God the right way, because there is no living without him!!:)

I agree with you.
Jesus has been my true inspiration. And it's true that before I knew him I was rather afraid of God. I was raised Catholic, and this was the impression that I was left with. After re-discovering Christianity in my 20's from a different perspective all together, Jesus entered my life when I asked Him, and I've never been the same since.
I have several friends who inspire me with their pure outward love too.... :
blessings :)

I'm with you. Jesus Christ died on a cross for my sins. When I first understood this with my heart, and not just my head, it forever changed my attitude towards God; and even though it is hard to understand all the evil in this world, I will never stop believing that God is good and loving, especially towards all who put their trust in Him.

Well I count Jesus AS God, and that would only be redundant for me to answer as you have. So I'm going to go with C.S. Lewis. An atheist who set out to disprove Christianity (with logic and not the usual stupid arguments you see on this forum) and lo and behold he became a huge name within Christianity.

My father-in-law. He lived what he believed, and was the most loving, unselfish person I've ever known. And I've known some pretty great people. He led me to the Lord, in no small part because he didn't have a hypocritical bone in his body.

Well my biggest inspiration has been my handfasted husband and my daughter. They keep me honest and open, are supportive and love me for who I am. We share our faith as well, which involves living our lives on the Druid Path.
