and the ladyfriend is upset that whenever my gf comes on messenger I stopped talking with her. Also I don't want to be disturbed by her when I talk with my gf. Is she right to be upset?

Yes she is right to feel upset. You are using the two of them, and that's not fair to either one.
So give one up, and stick to the other. If you are unwilling to do so, then use another nick and set up another Yahoo account, and keep them separate.
