For my confirmation I received a wall hanging of Mary holding baby Jesus. I'm writing a thank you note for it and I don't know what to call it in my note.

I don't know that it has a specific name. Mary holding the crucified Jesus is sometimes called the Pieta (from the famous sculpture). I would just call it a wall hanging or a tapestry (if the picture is woven into the hanging).

Just say Thank you for the wall hanging of Jesus and Mary. I really like it. That about does it.
But, remember it isnt Mary who saves us, it is only Jesus Christ.

Thank you for the wonderful and thoughtful confirmation gift.
As I seek a place of prominence for it in my home, and as I look upon it in the future, I know that it will remind of the perfection of Christ and this special day.
