You phrased the question wrong... it should read:

Why is being a Christian like having rocks in your head?

They said Peter means "rock" which is the foundation of early Christians. At least it is not a Jewish stone that they could throw on you. The rock is heavier to lift.
Whatever you mean by Christian "rocking" so much depends only on how you look at it and how Christians respond to their calling. To outsiders, maybe they do not see it that way.

For many reasons the foremost being that He died for our sins and made a way for us to be reconciled to God.

Our response, in order to receive that gift of salvation, is to put our faith in Him, turn away from following the ways of the world, and turn to following Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, except through Jesus.

"Trust in the Lord forever
For in God the Lord, we have an everlasting Rock."
Isaiah 26:4
