That is hard to lose something you have had for so long. You have to realize that you are still the same person inside and outside. The people who don't look at you are just ignorant and do not understand. They are scared.

It is a natural reaction of humans to shy away from something they do not know. Kids usually do not. They stare and they ask questions. They don't mean anything by it. As adults, they may have the same questions, but are afraid to ask.

You will find someone who won't care about your "disease". It is a genetic disorder as I know it. Have you started to learn sign language so that you could still communicate? I met a guy who was a deaf mute, that did not stop him. He could not talk or hear. He went dancing and he attempted to communicate with me even though I knew nothing. He would try to teach me sign language. He would write it out too. He was outgoing and had a positive attitude.

He danced by feeling the beat of the music and had many dance partners. Please don't think your life is over or that you cannot ever have a date. This guy had plenty and was so outgoing. Do not ever give up hope. If I were you, I would try to learn everything I could to communicate such as sign language. You will still be able to talk, but your will probably have to have speech therapy of some kind to know how loud you are talking and they can help you learn sign language.

Please try not to let it get you down. It is a big boulder in your path of life, but you can sail over it and find a different path. Try to find something positive everyday. It is not going to be easy to learn everything new. I am sure you are going to have those angry days and frustrating days. You will also have good and happy days. They have so many different things, like flashing lights when your doorbell rings. They have Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf. You will learn so many new things that you never thought possible. Don't become dependent on others. Be as independent as you can.

You are still the same person you were yesterday. You have to like yourself and portray it out in a positive way in order for others to see. If they see how you are letting yourself get down and portraying a negative self, they don't want to be around that. My prayers are with you to stay strong. It is ok to have those bad days, but it time to start looking ahead to finding a lot of positive in your future. You will have a woman who will not care that you cannot hear, or that your vision isn't perfect. Hugs to you. Do not lose your faith. God Bless.
