This is a bit of a difficult question to ask.

I an trying to understand why people that have near death expierences always find that hell is dark and that heaven is light.

I know that it is kind of obvious why bad people go to hell and why good people go to heaven, but this has nothing to do with the shades of light when thier there.

I like the dark as well as the light. Although I would prefer it to be very dark than I would very light.

If I was in heaven and it was full of light, I would get tired of constant and insessant light.

I am noit at all evil and I am very very sensitive to peoples feelings.

I am not saying that darkness = evil and that light = good.
Just want to know why hellish expierences are always dark and why the heavenly expierences are always light.

Have any ideas on this?

Where did you get the hell experiences are dark? They are very illuminated, if they were not, how could people describe what they saw? Complete darkness would wear thin a lot quicker than light. I like night, but I like the moon. Hell will be lit with a hellish glow :)

This could be our minds way of translating the emotion involved. I really don't know. Jesus however is referred to as the Light of the World...and the first thing God did was to bring light to the earth so I would have to assume that light probably is representative of good somehow.

If heaven is indeed a place of light, I can assure you that you will not be uncomfortable with it.

It's most likely a cultural thing. Just like any other kind of hypnogogic or hypnopompic hallucination, you see what your culture has made you expect to see. A strongly religious (christian) person may think they're being dragged off by demons during one of these episodes, while someone else may think they are being abducted by aliens. "Sex and the Paranormal" by Paul Chambers actually goes into this in detail. It's interesting reading and I recommend it highly to everyone.
