Is Hell the main reason people have chosen to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior?

I believe this is true. There isn't much unconditional love going on in this world and sometimes I get the feelings many Christians believe because of their knowledge of the negative like hell and eternal damnation versus just being a disciple of Christ because you just really want that. I have been threatened with the usual you don't want to go to hell thing and i think that religion and protecting your beliefs are very important things so to have to give someone an ultimatum is not the right thing to do.When people bring that up it seems like a strength in numbers thing versus doing Gods bidding which is recruiting true believers not threatening people and making them feel like **** so you can feel you've done good in the eyes of God.

I would think it is because others can see the life of Jesus in true Christians caused by the conviction of the Holy Spirit on their lives when the Gospel is preached.
