12 yr old daughter wants to know if it is safe to wear a bra to bed or will she get cancer
can you believe this question is still going round the kids

What?? I would say that it is as safe as wearing pajamas to bed! Kids are funny.

I think it won't cause Cancer. A lot of things cause Cancer but if that were the case women wouldn't wear bras during the day either then.
On the other side.... Why do you want to wear a bra to bed? I always found that a bra was quite uncomfortable and I prefer to go to sleep with no bra. Good Luck in getting the answer you want.

Yes, and be prepared for more. Kids don't know, and how will they learn if we don't teach them. This is the toughest part of being the mom, the loss of innocence. So keep those communication lines clean and open. Make sure she feels comfortable asking you these questions and more. Don't ever over-react to any question she has. If you are that shocked take a mini-break and address it again. As hard as this is, you want her to come to you when she gets even tougher questions like sex and condoms and death. Children have real fears, and a great imagination. That is why youth keep coming up great ideas and new inovation. Meanwhile, what kids are exposed to grows in that great imagination. So maybe get prepared on how you will handle the more serious questions to come and be glad that she felt comfortable coming to you with this. I hope she continues to see you with other health and sexual conserns

Tell her yes, its safe..if she is comfortable sleeping in a bra, by all means tell her to wear one. Who told her she would get cancer if she wore a bra to bed???? that was a stupid thing to say to a child. Most prefer to wear a bra to bed, it keeps their boobs from sagging later on in life.

I was told that one once. Sayings are mad, no one knows what to believe anymore do they? I know i don't wear a bra for bed only because i find it really uncomfortable. I would just tell her this is a myth which im 99.9% sure it is and that she will find i more comfortable to tkae it off of a night. Aww god bless her!!!!

No, that is silly. Wearning a bra will not give you cancer. However, unless the breasts are large, there is no need to wear a bra to bed. I have larger breasts, so, I wear a bra just about 24/7.. However she feels comfortable.

tell her NOT to wear one for bed just yet as shes still developing so she wont need the support, but as she gets older she may want to keep one in to stop the droopiness.lol

yes it is completely safe to wear a bra in bed but it can be uncomfortable. she is not going to get cancer from wearing one in bed.
